Big Cowboy is a college community site. Currently it supports Chat, Forums, SMS sending, search and more. Here are some developer materials.

Big Cowboy is of a modular design, running in mod_perl on apache under Linux, with a MySQL backend (probably works with pgSQL, but untested) and while the code isn't quite ready for a general release yet, it's almost there, and a few bits are pieces are being released. Eventually, it'll might go up on SourceForge.

Currently, no downloads of this are available after moving the site. Hopefully these will soon be restored. For the mean time, check out the new Big Cowboy.
